Installation

1. Remove the old wrap: If it is on the steering wheel, gently peel it off. Clean the steering wheel of any remaining glue and dirt.
2. Start from the bottom of the handlebar: Start wrapping from the end of the handlebar (where the plugs go in). Remove the protective film from the sticky side of the wrap.
3. Start at an angle: Place the tape so that about half the width of the tape extends beyond the edge of the handlebar. This will allow the tape to be secured with the cork. Wrap at a slight angle (about 30-45 degrees) towards the stem.
4. Wrapping direction: Wrap the right side of the handlebar clockwise and the left side counterclockwise. This way, the force of your hands will help tighten the tape rather than loosen it.
5. Tab: Wrap the wrap with an overlap so that each layer overlaps the previous one by about 1/3 to 1/2 the width of the wrap. This will ensure even coverage and no gaps. Try to keep the wrap tight as you wrap it so that it fits tightly.
6. Door handle clamps: This is the most sensitive point. There are two popular methods:

   The figure-eight method: When you get to the door handle, wrap the wrap once around the bottom of the door handle, then go to the top, wrap once over the door handle, then go back under the door handle and continue wrapping down. This method creates a neat transition.

   Method with extra piece: Before wrapping the entire wrap, cut small pieces (about 5-7 cm) from the second roll of wrap and use them to wrap the back of the handle clamps. Then, when you reach the handle with the main wrap, wrap it so that it overlaps this small piece and continue wrapping.

7. Continue wrapping: Once through the handle, continue wrapping towards the sternum, maintaining constant tension and overlap.
8. End: Stop wrapping about 1-2 cm before the stem (or where the tape usually ends). Measure the tape to the desired length, then cut it with sharp scissors at a right angle to the handlebar.
9. Tape securing: Wrap the end of the wrap tightly with several turns of electrical tape to secure it.
10. Put on your plugs: Finally, press the plugs into the handlebar ends, securing the beginning of the tape and providing an aesthetic appearance.
