In vehicles equipped with advanced on-board computers, replacing the standard filament bulb with a XENON HID replacement with a lower power consumption may result in the display of a message on the on-board computer informing about a burnt bulb. The solution is to use a resistor that acts as an artificial load to trick the computer.

The filter should be installed in the installation between the inverter and the power source, e.g. a light bulb in a vehicle.
