In vehicles equipped with extensive on-board computers, the replacement of a standard filament bulb with a LED replacement with several times lower power consumption may result in the appearance of a message on the on-board computer informing about a burnt bulb. The solution is to use a resistor that acts as an artificial load to trick the computer.

Please note that this type of filter heats up to high temperatures during operation. It is best to mount it in the immediate vicinity of other metal / aluminum elements in the vicinity of the reflector, to which the resistor will additionally be able to dissipate the temperature.
